I played these games back in the day, and recently purchased a digital 'ultimate' edition to replay them again. Just having serious trouble finding mods for them. I tried looking around nwvault.ign.com, and I can tell there are lots of mods, but for some reason I just can't find what I'm looking for. I've already spent upwards of 4 hours looking and figured if anybody can help, it would really save me some time and frustration. 1) I don't think NWN allowed you to level your followers or control their inventory, which would be a fun mod to use.
Pretty sure the expansions let you do this, but not the default campaign. 2) A no auto leveling mod for NWN2.
When you first gain a new companion, the game auto levels them, and I can't remember or not if the game auto-levels them when you leave them behind somewhere, and then recruit them again. 3) Any hi-def or hi-res texture packs for NWN. I found a few that did stuff like improve deserts, but nothing that combined everything into one mod/place. I couldn't even find several that would upgrade most everything. 4) Hi-def or hi-res texture packs for NWN2. I found a couple great ones for the sky and for terrain, and several for special effects (which are great), but haven't seen one for other environment textures, creatures, or weapons/armor.
I have lots of UI mods, don't need them. 5) Movement mods for NWN. Specifically, my character seems to stick on every piece of wall/floor decoration in the game, and I have to back up and move around. Anything to reduce the 'hit box' of this stuff, or make things like trees/bushes/crates/etc not stop the character at all, would be fabulous.
6) Transparency mods for NWN2. The camera controls are a bit clunky, but I got it figured out well enough- except walls, specifically the upper portion of doorframes, that get into the middle of the screen and force me into a top-down view that just sucks.
I already have ceilings transparent and don't really expect there is a mod for this one, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer tracking these down!
